Catalogues can be viewed online at www.gardinerhoulgate.co.uk and at www.the-saleroom.com approximately two weeks prior to each sale. Ilustrated catalogues can be sent by post, please contact the office to order your catalogue. We offer an annual clock catalogue subscription for £30 (three sales)

The sale can be viewed from the Monday of each sale week. If you are unable to view personally we are pleased to offer condition reports upon request. Buyers must satisfy themselves with the condition of lots before placing any type of bid.(Please see terms and condition of sale)

 

Ways to bid

 

1. In the room

Get involved in the auction fever and bid in person at the saleroom.

2. Commission bid

Leave a bid with us. The auctioneer will bid on your behalf. This can be done through our main website home page. (www.gardinerhoulgate.co.uk)

3. Phone Bid

A member of staff will contact you before the lot comes up. Best for those who cant be in the saleroom. This service is limited to lots estimated £500 and above. Contact the office to arrange.

4. Internet Bidding ‘Live’

GH Live is a new secure online bidding platform provided by Gardiner Houlgate.

It also offers a host of other exciting features including, ‘automated bids’, sale updates, personal watch lists, speedy payment options, bid and invoice history all in one place.

Registration at www.bid.gardinerhoulgate.co.uk once your account has been created you will be able to login and register to bid in any of our specialist auctions.

Please note an additional premium of 2.5% will be levied for using this service

Bid ‘live’ on the internet. Wherever you are in the world you can listen in and bid from the comfort of your own home or office via the internet.

The-Saleroom.com has recently announced a rise in their online bidding fees, increasing to 4.95%.
We will continue to run this platform for our specialist auctions, enabling clients to choose their preferred platform option

To bid live, you will need to complete a separate registration process and additional charges will apply.

If you are a successful bidder, lots must be paid and collected within 7 days of the sale. We offer a postage service for smaller items. We can recommend carriers for larger or more expensive items. See Packing & Shipping for further details

Auction lot alerts

Are you looking for a particular clock to add to your collection? We can email you with information of lots that may interest you. All you need to do is email us via the contact us page. Leave your name, email and “buzz” words of items that would interest you. For example “Dent”, “Frodsham”, “Carriage Clock”, “Fusee” etc. If anything comes up for auction with these keywords in we will notify you at least a week before the sale.
